How It All Started
I've always been a creative person, but I never considered myself a painter. I loved scrapbooking and making all kinds of handmade crafts, and creating has always been a big part of who I am.
One day, my grandma brought me a box of acrylic paints that someone was planning to throw away. Instead of letting them go to waste, I decided to see what I could create. I started looking up different painting techniques online, and that's when I discovered dot mandala art. The moment I saw it, I was hooked. There was something so peaceful and rewarding about creating beautiful patterns one dot at a time.
What started as simple curiosity quickly turned into a passion. I painted pieces for my own home, then friends and family started requesting custom artwork, and before long, Keeping it Crafty with Ashley was born.
My hand-painted mugs came naturally from that same passion. I wanted to create functional art that brings beauty into everyday life—whether it's your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a meaningful handmade gift for someone special.
